Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
This policy explains what information Natively collects when you practise English with the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We may update it over time; the date above shows when it last changed.
Information we collect
Account details: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address.
Learning data: the answers you give during onboarding (your level, goals, and native language), your lesson and conversation progress, and any phrases you save.
Voice and text: audio you record and text you type during practice, so we can transcribe it and give you feedback.
Device and usage data: basic technical information needed to run the app reliably.
How we use your information
We use your information to run your practice sessions, generate feedback and scores, track your progress and streaks, provide support, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.
How your audio is used
When you speak, your audio is sent to speech-recognition and AI providers so it can be transcribed and turned into feedback. It is used to help you practise, not to identify you, and it is not kept longer than needed to provide the session and its feedback. You can practise by typing instead of speaking, and you can turn off microphone access in your device settings at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the app — for example sign-in (Apple, Google), hosting and databases, AI and speech processing, and app-store payment processing — and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen, which removes your account, progress, and saved phrases. Some records may be retained where the law requires.
Your choices and contact
You can review and update your profile in the app, control microphone access in your device settings, and delete your account whenever you like. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data. To ask a question or make a request, contact us through the in-app support screen or at info@nativelyapp.com.
